Many
people will see the words "Pure Beta Glucan" on
a product's label and assume nothing could be better than
something that is "Pure".
The Active Linkage in Beta1,3/1,6
Glucan is contained in the outer cell wall of the beta glucan molecule. This means "pure" beta glucan is
actually the raw material used to extract the Active
Linkage. All beta glucan products are "pure beta
glucan', but a claim of "pure" has nothing to do with
the Active Linkage in a product.
You will never see the claim of "Pure Beta 1,3/1,6
Glucan".
This is "100% Pure Beta Glucan"
it contains about 15% Active Linkage
Including the words "Pure Beta Glucan" on a
product's label is misleading, and will not impress your immune
system.
